X OAV trailer Pictures like this make me wish Clamp drew 3xplicit y40i. Rowr. (from Monou Photos) Saturday, July 28, 2001
I should surf the internet more closely. Look what I found! Japanese Onomatopoetia (At least *I* liked them. I'm such a Japanese nerd. *_*)
I recently figured out why most pairings with Eriol in it make people go 0.0. He's related, in some distant way or other, to most of the CCS cast! Check it out: Clow Family [he used to *be* Clow]: Syaoran, Meiling, all the other Lis. Tell me, aside from the side characters, who does that leave? Kaho! No wonder he ended up with her in the end, it'd be too close to incest with anyone else. But it still must be weird because he and Touya sorta switched partners-- Clow-Eriol/Yue and Touya/Kaho became Eriol/Kaho and Touya/Yukito. And keep in mind that Eriol is kinda Touya's uncle/father... CCS makes my heart hurt. >_< Has anybody ever told Clamp just how Screwed up they are?
Mad nasty storm outside. Rain, constant thunder, non-stopping lightning. And windy. I fear I could be swept away with the forces of nature if I went outside. ^_^
I feel much better now.
My stomach hurts. It's from the panicking parents in the background, it's from nervousment, and it's from getting a lecture from my mother on how horrible it was when the last computer was destroyed because of a virus. Our computer received the 'Hi how are you' email. I don't think we received the virus because our program doesn't download attachments unless you tell it specifically to do so. I think y'all are safe. I just wish I could information on what this bugger *does.* Yeah, I know about the *.*.exe, I know it spreads through email, and I know I should have the latest virus scanning technology. Just tell me the fucking symptoms so I can be sure my computer is okay. *sighs* My parents are annoyingly computer illiterate. They *know* I know the most about computers in this house, yet sometimes they randomly decided that they know better than I do. They decided they knew how to deal with the virus, and that I was being Clueless. *sigh* Strain, stress, and repeated rants about how screwed our other computer got. And then telling me they didn't mind that the computer was ruined, only that my files were deleted. Because THAT makes me feel so much better. Whatever. *sigh* (incidentally, I was over at college when they got the other virus. I couldn't help them, so they got some crook to steal their monitor instead. Great). I'm pretty sure we're safe, but the whole incident left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm glad i-onee-chan was there with me, she help keep the Panicking Parents at bay and helped me figure the thing out. *blinks* You know how much it helps when people are considerate and grateful when they ask for favors? Every once in a while I'll receive some obnoxious request "send me ccs eps pleaze! what is str3amload?!" I delete those emails, usually. They irritate me. Speak properly, *do* your research, and don't be irritating. And even when I comply, and help them out, they never write back a thank-you note. I'd be really pleased, even if they just said something simple like "that really helped me out." Yet once I've done them the favor, siiiiilence. This girl just emailed me asking a few questions. She sounded all right, so I gave her a few directions-- and told her that I'd be willing to send her str3amload files if she figured out how to use it. She did, I sent her the episodes, and she thanked me. She even offered to give me wallpaper from her future site because she wanted to repay me. ;_; It was sweet. All I usually get are leechers. See? A bit of gratitude, politeness, and intelligence goes a long way.
.....How often will I receive this message from blogger? "Sorry, publishing is temporarily unavailable. Doing something to the servers. Please try later today!" Bah.
I ph34r Meia-san. Partly because of the X/CCS fic outline she's posted, and partly because her name in Portuguese means 'sock.' It also has the meaning of 'half.' So, I understand her name as 'half-sock,' or a 'single sock' (since socks come in pairs). Why would someone name themself 'single sock'? Or perhaps I'm being an insensitive clod to foreign languages and cultures. At any rate, I do not ph34r her too much, for she has CCS screencaps (the link is on her blog). And she is an Eriol fan. Anyone who loves Eriol and provides me with over a dozen pictures of his smile cannot be evil.
Mmm. Maybe one day I'll regret this. I'm fine for now, though. Version 1 of The Most Dangerous Thing is complete. ^_^ Yes, it's the Gravitation fic I've been rambling about. Comments are nice, they make my tummy warm and fuzzy. (If anyone I know in rl reads this, go ahead and be surprised, but I wouldn't be too shocked. Isn't this the kind of thing I'd do? XD). Tired. *goes off to rest* Thursday, July 26, 2001
Today I bumbled into a room full of people, greeting them as "everybody-san!" I didn't even notice my blunder until someone pointed it out to me. Mmm. Think it's amusing that I translated minna-san to everybody-san, without even thinking of it. My Japanese integration is increasing.
Janaki-san..... do tell. XD Very curious to hear of these mischivious bunnies. I'd reveal my evil plots here, but... *looks around furtively* Wanna keep it secret. ^_^ So tell all, won't you? Or email me, we can conspire evils upon the ccs universe. *cackles* Wednesday, July 25, 2001
I must have been lazy, or given sudden inspiration. Five minutes after writing the last post, I sat myself down at the computer, closed all the other programs, and forced myself to write. Within two hours I finished the last scene. I think it works quite well, though we'll have to see what my beta reader says. ;) Songs that helped me write (I always listen to music while writing, it gives me the right mood) this time around: Bump of Chicken's "Tentai Kansoku," "I'm h0rny," "I T0uch Myself," Chisato's "Cyber Rose," "Beautiful Alone," Petshop of Horror's "Melody," and Prozack's "Sucks to be You." XD Oh, and I need more sekkushi crooning songs, like 'Melody' and L'arc-en-Ciel's ''Terra" album. Suggestions?
*nikoniko* I have this thoroughly evil idea for a ccs fic. *nikoniko* I think the main pairing will appear for the first time in fanfics. *nikoniko* The only problem is that it promises to be Long. I can't do Long. I can do scenes from Long, but I can't put it all together. Besides that, I have one scene left to finish off my Gravitation fic (still untitled), and I Can't. Do it. My beta reader leaves Sunday, so I have to get some inspiration and finish it by Saturday at the latest, but when I sit myself at the keyboard all the phrases are awful. I don't even know how to sequence it. *mopes* So I'm procastinating by blogging. *niko*
....You know, I think I have every right to be frightened by the fact that there's minesweeper fanfics. And that one of them is rated NC-17. *sweatdrop* I'm curious, but not enough to overcome the fear. ^_^ It figures that I'd be between releases of the FF movie-- it's in the US two months before I'm there, and it'll be in Japan four months before I get there. Yep, sounds familiar. ^_^ I hope they have a good 'dubbed' version of the movie for Japan, I'd rather watch it in Japanese. Yeah, I know, the original is in English... but I got a kick out of watching the Phantom Menace with Japanese subtitles. "foosu o mamori!" *giggles* Is it scary how much I prefer the sound of Japanese to English? I don't think so, I couldn't be the only one!
This is where I'm supposed to say something intelligent, isn't it? My brain blanks. I think I'm either out of practice (blogging, I mean), or I've fried all thoughts by working too hard on the fic rec. list and on future blog layouts (which include 'somedays in love,' 'somedays happy beyond all belief,' and 'somedays genki gone to HELL!' I might be having too much fun with the 'somedays' theme, but who cares? *niko niko*) *sizzles* Everyone and their mother has seen the Final Fantasy movie. I've been a fan since, what, 1992? And I've waited since the day they announced the project (some three years ago). Now that it's finally out, I'm nowhere near a theater. Much less one that would play the FF movie. -_- I'd like to see it in Japanese, but I haven't seen any mention of it. Where they dubbed simultaneously, or does Japan have to suffer the US voices version? Also want to hear the L'arc~en~Ciel song. What a good band. *heart* Tuesday, July 24, 2001
I don't think of myself as depressive (at least not now!) but the Miyu picture was too pretty to resist. Puuuurty. *heart*
Disgusting Odd Random Fact of the Day: Grasshoppers WILL eat coackroaches. I saw one nibbling voraciously on a coackroache's leg. It was kinda neat to watch. Monday, July 23, 2001
janaki-san, I'll gladly join you on that space ship. -_-
Nothing makes you hate techonlogy quite as much as an 11.Hour.Blackout. Nothing makes you love technnology quite as much as when the lights come back after the said blackout. And NOTHING makes you as irritated as when the lights go back out 15 minutes later. o_O;;; Sunday, July 22, 2001
I think this blog is finally working. *niko niko*
If you want funny, odd, funky music, the Arrogant Worms are good. XD They sing things like 'Carrot Juice is Murder' and 'Canada is Really Big.' I'm fond of them. And, yes, to my great surprise, Bump of Chicken *is* good! I love the singer's voice-- it's honest.
I haven't been ranting much on my blog(s) lately. I think it's because I've been experimenting so much with layout and location. Plus, I've been writing some mucho large emails. :P Does take away all my ranting material! ^_^
*hums* Still can't change the template. *glares at blogger* Pitas was a lot easier to work with.
Can't change the template, but at least now I'm posting. :P Figuring this thing out, even with the too, too slow connection. *kicks iternet provider* Bleargh.
Experimentation is good. Gotta see if this [damned] blogger works. :P |
